Fine Art America - First Sale "Beer O'Clock"

Very excited to report my first sale at Fine Art America! I only recently joined this site which distributes prints of my artwork to the American market. Rather than needing to be posted all the way from Australia, FAA enables my prints to be ordered online, printed, framed and shipped all within in the US. 

I've had some encouraging feedback from the US market and other artists on the site, including having my Beer O'Clock print, described as a "wonderful piece of Americana". I love that!

Barrenjoey Lighthouse

Late last year I went for a drive to West Head and took heaps of photos looking across to Barrenjoey Lighthouse. I finally turned this photo into a beautiful big painting.

Commission: Mona Vale Beach

Commissions usually don't make it onto my web site, which seems a shame as they are often some of my best work.  Amy took a liking to my work about 6 years ago, and was now ready to order painting of Mona Vale beach. I worried that my style had changed quite a lot over the years, getting a lot more detailed and I wasn't sure she'd still like my work!  I showed her another commission I had done in January this year of Whale Beach (on a surfboard) and fortunately she liked it, so we were good to go! This is the result:
